← Back to gozyHow to set up your schedule, how trips are counted, and how your kilometres work. Written to be read in two minutes.
If you read nothing else, read this.
gozy is built around a schedule, not a queue. The difference matters, because a scheduled trip gets you your own driver and an on-demand one gets you whoever is free.
| Scheduled | On demand | |
|---|---|---|
| When to ask | By 6pm the day before | Any time, at least 60 minutes ahead |
| Your driver | Your regular driver, who knows your route and your building | Whichever driver is free in your area |
| Pickup time | A precise time you choose from the slots open in your area | The time you ask for, if a car is available |
| Best for | Your commute, the school run, anything that repeats | The dinner that ran late, the unplanned meeting |
The 6pm cut-off is what lets us hold the same driver for you every day. Subscribers who set a weekly schedule get a better service than those who message us each morning, and it costs exactly the same.
One conversation, about three minutes, and your week runs itself. Change it whenever you like.
Tell us what your week looks like
Plain language is fine. "Home to office weekdays, back around six" is enough to start.
Save your regular places
Home, office, school, gym. Once saved you refer to them by name and never type an address again.
Choose your days, then your times
We show you the slots genuinely open in your area on those days. You pick a precise arrival time, not a vague window.
Confirm, and meet your driver
Your schedule repeats every week. We message you the evening before with the next day's trips, and again 15 minutes before each pickup.
Days first, then times. We only show slots that are actually free in your area on those days.
You see the whole week before agreeing to any of it. Edit changes a leg; Cancel discards the lot.
The same driver appears on every scheduled trip, so you are not meeting a stranger each morning.
Message us any time. A change to tomorrow needs to reach us by 6pm today so we can keep your driver. Skipping a single day costs you nothing — tell us and the trip is not counted.
Your driver serves a small group of subscribers in your part of Dubai. Slots are what make that possible.
Every plan gives you a number of trips and a pooled kilometre allowance. Both are for one 30-day plan and start fresh with every plan you buy.
| Plan | Trips | Kilometres | Trips you can carry over |
|---|---|---|---|
| Explorer | 20 | 400 km | None |
| Signature | 40 | 800 km | Up to 3 |
| Premium | 80 | 2,000 km | Up to 5 |
Your allowance is one shared pool for the month. A 6 km school run draws 6 km; a 24 km airport run draws 24 km. Short journeys leave more in the pool for everything else.
One formula covers every journey.
| Your journey | What it costs |
|---|---|
| Home to the office | 1 trip |
| Home to the office, dropping someone at school on the way | 1.5 trips |
| Home, school, office, then home again | 2 trips |
| Airport drop-off | 2 trips |
| Airport pickup | 3 trips |
Adding a stop means someone gets in or out — collecting a colleague, dropping a child at school. It does not mean the car waits while you run into a shop, collect a parcel or attend a meeting. gozy is a point-to-point service, not a car and driver by the hour. If you need the car afterwards, book the return leg as its own trip.
A stop added on the day cannot be counted properly, and the driver is not authorised to make it. Tell us the full journey up front and everything runs cleanly.
Your driver always waits free for a while. After that, waiting draws on your trips — and you are messaged before anything is deducted.
| Situation | Free waiting | After that |
|---|---|---|
| At pickup | 10 minutes | 0.5 trip from minute 11. At minute 21 it becomes a no-show and 1 trip in total is used. |
| At a declared stop | 5 minutes | 0.5 trip from minute 6. At minute 16 the journey closes and the driver is released. |
| Airport pickup | 30 minutes | 1 trip from minute 31, and 1 more from minute 61. The driver is released at minute 91. |
We track your flight, so a delay costs you nothing. The 30 free minutes begin at actual landing time, not the time you booked.
| What happens | What it costs you |
|---|---|
| You skip a scheduled trip and tell us by 6pm the day before | Nothing |
| You cancel before the driver is dispatched | Nothing |
| You cancel after the driver is dispatched | 1 trip |
| You miss the car at pickup | 1 trip |
| We cannot deliver the journey | Nothing — the trip is restored |
If the driver has been released, message us and we will send one. The new journey uses a fresh trip, so a missed pickup you still want to make costs 2 trips in total. You are always asked first.
Two ways to handle a month that does not go to plan.
Carried-over trips, then top-up trips, then this month's plan trips. The ones closest to expiring are always spent first, so nothing is wasted.
These rarely come up, but better to know them now than to discover them on a Tuesday morning.
